Key Dates

• Registration closes: 24 December 2026
• Online auditions: 26 December 2026 to 3 January 2027
• Grand final in Oslo: 30 January 2027

Who Can Enter?

The competition is open to brothers and sisters of any level who live in Norway, Sweden or Denmark, or who hold a passport from one of these countries. Each category has separate men’s and women’s divisions. Participants under 18 need consent from a parent.

Competition Categories

When you register, you can rank up to three categories. See the official rules for the required ranges and full details.

How Judging Works

Every reciter is scored out of 100: Memorisation (75), Tajweed (20) and Delivery (5). The reciter’s voice itself is not judged. Judges score independently, and an auditor reviews their marks. Every contestant receives feedback from the judges after the audition, and finalists receive further feedback after the final.

Prizes

Prizes have a combined value of over 100,000 NOK. They are awarded to the top three in every category, and every finalist receives a certificate.

Watch Past Finals

To get a sense of the standard, you can listen to recordings from the 2026 final in the SQC listening room. You can also watch the winning Hafidh recitation from 2025.
